Position Overview
The Oral Health Educator plays a vital role in training Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) on the critical link between oral health and patient care. This position equips CNAs with essential knowledge and skills to deliver effective oral hygiene, identify issues early, and promote preventative practices—especially for elderly and chronically ill residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored workshops and training sessions for CNAs to enhance oral health care practices in SNFs.

  • Create and distribute educational resources like guides, checklists, and videos to support daily oral care routines.

  • Collaborate with SNF leadership and healthcare teams to integrate oral health education into patient care protocols.

  • Advocate for oral health's role in overall wellness, focusing on vulnerable populations with chronic conditions.

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for CNAs facing oral health challenges.
