This role is responsible for engineering coordination with overseas factories, system design for the installation of the products and divisional quality initiatives.

This position requires a hands-on leader and strategic problem solver who actively engages in technical challenges, works closely with engineering staff, and contributes directly to resolving complex engineering issues.

What You’ll Do

  • Work Shoulder-to-Shoulder with Engineers: Serve as a hands-on technical leader, partnering directly with engineers to contribute to system designs, review designs, and solve complex problems in real time; not just assigning work.
  • Drive Technical Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis efforts and guide the resolution of complex engineering challenges to improve product and system performance, reliability, and quality.
  • Drive Supplier Sourcing & Quality: Oversee division quality programs and engineering initiatives including leading supplier selection, development, and performance management, while actively participating in technical discussions, design reviews, and acceptance testing
  • Act as Global Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the Division and overseas manufacturing partners to drive continuous improvement on product and system designs.
  • Strengthen Product Development Execution: In coordination with overseas factories, identify and implement improvements in engineering processes, product design, and development strategies.
  • Resolve Advanced System Issues: Support the resolution of complex product, system, and warranty challenges, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
  • Develop & Lead Talent: Manage Engineering personnel in accordance with company policies; recruit, train, cross-train, mentor employees; conduct performance reviews; and provide compensation input.
  • Support Business & Market Efforts: Contribute technical expertise to marketing initiatives and customer engagements, helping translate engineering capability into business value.

What You’ll Bring

  • A hands-on leadership mindset with the ability and willingness to work “in the weeds” and directly solve engineering challenges alongside your team.
  • Engineering experience in a project-based environment, with demonstrated success leading engineering projects.
  • Technical expertise in electrical engineering, electronic systems, or industrial controls/automation.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to connect big-picture goals to detailed technical execution.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including NEC, UL, and mechanical/electrical construction practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complexity by balancing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency in reading and creating drawings and documentation, with experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency, and innovation.
