Job description

About This Role
Build your consulting career where you won't get lost in the crowd. At RGP, you will work in a boutique style environment backed by a global platform with access to a diverse client base trusted by approximately 90% of the Fortune 100 and 70% of the Fortune 500, along with leading private and mid market organizations. You will gain meaningful exposure to clients, senior leaders, and high impact work across industries like financial services, healthcare, private equity and the public sector, building expertise in areas such as transformation, risk, data and AI, and digital solutions. With less hierarchy and more trust, you will take on real responsibility from day one, developing both technical depth and client facing confidence in a collaborative, sleeves up culture. The result is a faster, more intentional career with broader experience, deeper ownership, and the flexibility to shape your path as your interests evolve.
We are seeking a Learning Experience Design Manager to join our Advisory Services Practice. This individual will drive client delivery and execution across initiatives focused on learning strategy, instructional design, digital adoption, and creative multimedia learning solutions. In this role, you will lead key workstreams, partner with senior stakeholders, and translate complex business needs into engaging, practical, and measurable learning experiences that drive adoption and sustained performance outcomes.
Base Pay Range: $140,000 - $170,000
What You Will Work On
  • Lead delivery of client engagements focused on learning transformation, instructional design, digital adoption, and workforce capability development.
  • Manage key projects or multiple workstreams spanning learning strategy, curriculum design, content development, implementation, and measurement.
  • Design learning solutions across instructor-led, virtual, blended, microlearning, e-learning, video-based learning, and performance support formats.
  • Translate business requirements into learner-centered solutions that simplify complex topics and improve knowledge retention, adoption, and performance.
  • Develop executive-ready learning strategies, roadmaps, training plans, storyboards, prototypes, and program materials for working teams and senior audiences.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to assess current-state learning needs and define scalable future-state learning experiences and content standards.
  • Create engaging digital learning assets, including interactive e-learning modules, simulations, explainer videos, animations, infographics, job aids, and quick-reference materials.
  • Establish governance models, templates, design standards, accessibility practices, and quality controls to ensure consistency and sustainability across learning assets.
  • Lead training, change management, communications, and adoption activities to ensure successful rollout and sustained usage of new processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate learning solutions into broader transformation, technology, talent, or change management initiatives.
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on learning strategy, digital learning, creative enablement, and adoption solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tools, templates, creative assets, and methodologies to expand RGP's learning, change, and digital delivery capabilities.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, solutioning, client discussions, and thought leadership related to instructional design and digital learning.
  • Drive development efforts, including instructional design, scripting, storyboarding, media production, review cycles, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring
  • 5-10+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, training development, consulting, organizational change, or workforce transformation.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing e-learning, video-based learning, blended learning, microlearning, and digital performance support solutions.
  • Experience leading client workstreams or projects, with accountability for delivery, quality, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional systems design, ADDIE, SAM, agile learning methods, and learning experience design practices.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured, creative, scalable, and user-friendly learning solutions.
  • Experience working directly with client stakeholders and influencing learning strategy, content design, delivery approach, and adoption planning.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to create and present compelling materials for both working teams and executive audiences.
  • Creative mindset with strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to develop engaging content for complex business, process, or technology topics.
  • Experience supporting implementation, change management, communications, and user adoption initiatives for large-scale transformation programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, evolving client environments while maintaining high standards for quality and learner experience.
  • Highly collaborative, with strong relationship-building skills and a practical, solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience with creative and learning tools such as Camtasia, Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, Canva, Synthesia, Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, LMS/LXP platforms, and AI-enabled content creation tools preferred.
  • Instructional Design, ATD, CPTD, Prosci, Project Management, or related certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, up to 50%.

What You Can Expect
  • An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
  • Compensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors, including geographic location, market and operational factors.
  • Total Rewards based on eligibility include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).
