The Program Coordinator is accountable for the annual delivery of assigned non-engineered Routine Work and System Reliability Project (SRP) programs. The role works with Asset Management, C&M Work Management, Supply Chain, Project Management, Finance, and other stakeholders to establish work plans and manage scope, cost, schedule, materials, work orders, and timely closeout.

The position also supports the annual Ground Line Inspection program as well as Substation and Relay emergent projects. Assignments may cover one or multiple regions. The Program Coordinator facilitates stakeholder coordination, forecasts and reports monthly performance, and escalates risks that could affect planned, high-priority, emergency, or compliance work.

Key Responsibilities

Confirm program scope and develop annual work plans with Asset Management, C&M, Work Management, Transmission Finance, sponsors, and other stakeholders.

Validate estimates, secure funding, plan resources, and establish work orders in accordance with documented initiation and closeout processes.

Assess annual funding needs for emergent and emergency work. Recommend priorities and coordinate work initiation with Technical Support and C&M.

Develop and maintain program management plans for baseline scope, cost, schedule, work order lifecycle, materials, performance measures, reporting, stakeholder engagement, quality, risk, and compliance.

Coordinate planned and unplanned work with C&M, Work Management, Project Management, and execution teams to deliver annual commitments safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Monitor program and work order performance throughout the lifecycle. Forecast cost and schedule outcomes, report progress and variances, and initiate corrective action.

Escalate risks and issues that could affect in-service dates, annual results, emergency response, or compliance commitments.

Establish expectations for timely, accurate stakeholder status reporting and maintain tools that support scope, schedule, cost, quality, and monthly business reporting.

Coordinate material identification, forecasting, lead-time planning, and availability with Supply Chain and execution partners.

Verify work order completion, including accurate As-Built CUE documentation, asset placement in service, system closeout, and resolution of ARC failures.

Evaluate processes, reporting, construction methods, and contracting strategies. Implement cost-effective improvements with subject matter experts.

Provide sponsors and leadership with timely information about estimate, cost, schedule, scope, and performance variances.

Basic/Required Qualifications

Associate's degree OR HS/GED and 3 plus years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated to working knowledge in scheduling and cost controls

  • Working knowledge of ARC failure prevention and resolution techniques

  • Previous experience with Maximo

  • Working knowledge of PowerPlan

  • Working Knowledge of Transmission system and assets

  • Working knowledge of contract administration

Recurring Coordination Activities

Lead, facilitate, or provide required input for recurring coordination activities, including:

Biweekly coordination meetings with Project Management.

Biweekly Routine Capital meetings for emergent and non-engineered SRP work.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 year degree

  • Demonstrated to working knowledge in scheduling and cost controls

  • Working knowledge of ARC failure prevention and resolution techniques

  • Previous experience with Maximo

  • Working knowledge of PowerPlan

  • Working Knowledge of Transmission system and assets

  • Working knowledge of contract administration

Specific Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Maximo including creation of Work orders, addition of material and labor compatible units (CU), reconciliation of as-built compatible unit estimate (CUE), invoice approval, funding approvals, and management of material need dates with lead times

  • Ability to assess status of work plans (cost and schedule) and forecast results

  • General knowledge of budgeting process

  • General knowledge of contract administration

  • Knowledge of Transmission system and assets

  • Knowledge of ARC failures

  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills and the ability to function effectively in a diverse support organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build cooperative working relationships across the organization and departmental boundaries

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerBI, etc.)
