The Program Coordinator within the Office of Student Affairs plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of daily business operations. This position serves as the linchpin for coordinating a range of administrative activities, procurement processes, event planning, budget oversight, and database management. With a focus on maintaining seamless operations, the Program Coordinator collaborates closely with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the Director of Student Affairs , the Assistant Director of Student Financial Assistance, and the Assistant Director of Leadership Development and Wellness. This position is essential to the overall success of the department and the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
Job responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily business operations for the Office of Student Affairs and serve as the point of contact for visitors
  • Provides backup and support for the Office of Student Affairs
  • Facilitate the creation, review, and processing of purchase orders and PARs
  • Manage the purchasing, requisition, and Marketplace processes for the Office of Student Affairs
  • Manage Student and Academic Affairs budgets and track expenditures
  • Maintain up-to-date student information databases
  • Oversee student lounges and address concerns as they arise
  • Oversee and coordinate and oversee logistics, planning, and execution of student School of Medicine events
  • Oversee the Astra room reservation system
  • Manage, compile, and analyze on post-event surveys
  • Development, distribution, and conducting initial analysis of online surveys
  • Analyze and report on student outcome measures
  • Responsible for coordinating travel arrangements for students, faculty, and staff
  • Manage the distribution of parking permits and other needed student items
  • Administer the organization, communication and collection of funds for student group packages for medical board exam prep
  • Administrative support contact for student organizations
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Salary Range $38,722 - $44,531 Salary is commensurate on education, experience, and internal equity Salary Type Salary Time Type Full-Time Work Location MUSOM - Marshall University School of Medicine
