As the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates its 50th Anniversary of serving our communities, we are looking for a Site Coordinator to oversee daily site operations at our Cottonwood Elementary School location in Fernley, NV - ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs aligning with Club standards and youth development outcomes. This role provides leadership to staff and volunteers, maintains a safe and well-managed environment, serves as a primary contact for families, and represents the Club within the community while ensuring compliance, resource management, and program quality.
Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.
These are some of the responsibilites of our Cottonwood Site Coordinator:
  • Ensure that site staff are consistently delivering programs in accordance with Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows Program Quality standards by providing direction and support
  • Represent the Club by communicating the mission, program objectives, and scope of opportunities available for families and members
  • Actively recruit and register new members and families, and promote consistent member participation in Club programs
  • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with parents, local civic groups, school district partners, and social agencies within the community
  • Regularly evaluate and audit the overall quality and objectives of programs
  • Recruit, manage, and support staff through effective onboarding, performance management, and career development
  • Provide oversight and direction regarding member behavior and needs
  • Oversee the 21st CCLC grant requirements and reporting at the Cottonwood location

This is what your schedule would look like:
  • This is a full-time, on-site job. Work hours include weekday before and after-school programsat our Cottonwood location, and all-day care during school breaks at our Fernley Clubhouse.
  • The schedule is balanced, with time set aside for planning, training, and administrative tasks outside of program hours.
  • There will be occasional required hours on evenings and/or weekends for special events and family activities.

Required Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with youth in a professional setting required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs to youth and teens or a combination of education and relevant professional preferred.

Skills & Abilities that make a successful Site Coordinator:
  • Bilingual - English & Spanish (strongly preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, and represent BGCTM professionally to the community.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting, and/or bending for long periods of time. May occasionally be required to kneel, run and/or climb.
  • Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to perform surface and deep cleaning appropriately using potentially hazardous cleaners including bleach, as needed.
  • Must be able to lift, move manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds. Objects that exceed the 45-pound weight limit require additional assistance when moving, lifting or manipulating.
