Title: Graphic Design Intern (Summer and/or Fall 2021)

Status: PT/FT

Portfolio Resident Services, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the design and execution of supportive and educational programs that raise social and cultural standards to people who live in affordable housing.

Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Technical Programs, the Graphic Design Intern will work with the Marketing and Technology teams to produce graphic designs for various social media platforms, use HTML5 and CSS for UI/UX design for mobile and web assets, motion graphics, and signage and print assets.

Who is the ideal candidate? We are looking for a self-starter who sees opportunities to add visual dimension across various functions of a business. They own a full understanding of the creative development process and workflow, and, when given a clearly defined project scope, are both highly conceptual and hands-on in a timely execution.

This person stays connected with current interactive, mobile, advertising, design, and visual communication, and is expected to introduce contemporary design theory and application ideas to add value through innovation to our growing and highly motivated team.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a Graphic Design program at an accredited not-for-profit university.
  • Experience with HTML5 and CSS.
  • 2+ years of experience using Ai, Xd, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Preferred Skill

  • Familiar with data visualization software, i.e. dygraphs.
