Job description

SUMMARY

As the Law Enforcement Inside Sales & Armorer Program Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our Law Enforcement team, focusing on building relationships, driving sales within the law enforcement sector, and the coordinator for the Law Enforcement Armorers training program. This role involves understanding the unique needs of law enforcement agencies, providing tailored solutions, and contributing to the overall success of our sales efforts. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated proficiency in sales and business operations. This position involves selling our products/services through various channels and managing customer relationships remotely. The Law Enforcement Inside Sales & Armorer Program Coordinator will report to the Executive Vice President of Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES

  1. Prospecting, Lead Generation, and Order Capture:
    • Identify, qualify, and capture new leads and sales opportunities from a variety of sources.
    • Research customer needs, preferences, and buying requirements to support effective sales outreach.
    • Partner with outside sales to follow up on leads generated through customer visits, trade shows, and cold calls.
    • Enter orders into the ERP system and coordinate production and delivery activities with the Production team.
  2. Sales Presentations:
    • Deliver product and service presentations to prospective customers via Microsoft Teams or in person, as needed.
    • Communicate the product or service value proposition clearly and persuasively.
    • Address customer questions and concerns effectively.
  3. Sales Negotiation and Closing:
    • Facilitate discussion of sales terms and conditions with the Colt finance department and customers as needed.
    • Close sales and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  4. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
    • Provide excellent customer service to address inquiries and issues.
    • Assist the Law Enforcement Program Manager, as needed, with Colt LE Distributor/Reseller communications to maintain DOS (days of supply) for firearms and spare parts.
    • Upsell or cross-sell additional products/services to existing customers.
    • Oversee and manage the Colt Armorerโ€™s Training events to include personnel management, scheduling, and resourcing.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the marketing team and product management to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
    • Collaborate with other Colt team members to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the Colt team.
    • Work closely with the training and technical support team to design, build and support weapons demonstrations within the LE market.
  • Proven inside sales or business management experience.
  • Strong phone presence and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales automation tools.
  • Results-driven and target-oriented.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to report daily into office in West Hartford CT.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is a plus. Will accept equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
