The Program Manager (PM) is an instrumental role in the company and an important echo of the 'voice of the customer'. The PM supports multiple aspects of the Unimacts plant operations related to delivering to customers' needs. The PM supports customer calls, helps define the best solution for the customer and takes responsibility for execution of that solution in our operations. The PM manages the customer demand forecast and plays a crucial role in Unimacts Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process. Sales Orders are owned and managed by the PM and the PM ensures that plant operations are aware of customer demand so they can take necessary action to prepare.

The PM must collaborate with various teams within the corporate team and plant teams to meet program deadlines within cost targets. The PM manages the program technical specifications. This includes responding to queries from customers and suppliers as well as reconciling differences. The PM collaborates with the QC team for the FAI, PPAP, or other customer documentation and approval processes once contracts are awarded.

NOTE: In this role, the PM will be working from the Las Vegas plant. This role may involve travel to customers, suppliers and other Unimacts locations & events as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering, manufacturing, or sourcing of engineered mechanical components.
  • 5+ years of Project / Program Management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have a solid understanding of the sourcing process, from specification and RFQ to approval and delivery.
  • Be able to communicate with customers, understand their requirements, and collaborate with the Team to provide actions and response.
  • Have an intermediate understanding of industrial manufacturing processes - roll forming, assemblies, castings, fabrications, forgings, assemblies, etc.
  • Have a solid understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) process & Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Have a solid understanding of accounting processes and the actions and steps that can be taken to drive improvement in a P&L.
  • Be able to work cooperatively with warehouse, company staff, customers, and suppliers to ensure that delivery deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Establish and leverage KPIs to evaluate performance, quality and accuracy and to drive continuous improvement through Unimacts operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to build a culture of operational excellence and innovation.
  • Maintain a motivated and dedicated approach with customers and team members.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure team members understand account goals, policies and procedures.
  • Be proficient in the English language (written, spoken).
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Project, Databases, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Solar Manufacturing environment (Solar trackers)
  • Knowledge in Steel Tubing, foundation design, mechanical components and roll forming.
  • International experience with global customers / suppliers
  • Proficient with MS Dynamics
