Job description

Legend Biotech is seeking a Senior Director, Commercial Strategic Alliances as part of the Commercial team based in Bridgewater, NJ.

Role Overview

This role will support the development of Legend's commercial strategic relationships with critical societies, associations and scientific organizations to bolster Legend's reputation and outreach. This role (adjacent to the TLL team) will ensure a robust Legend presence via engagement investments, development of critical relationships, management of evolution dynamics and anticipation of market trends. This role will be instrumental in helping forge Legend relationships with key stakeholders and organizations. The position will also ensure Legend market readiness for future assets.

This role will report to the SVP, Head of Commercial and will be a member of the Commercial Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with Legend commercial, marketing and external engagement team partners to find opportunities, implement effective tactics and achieve organizational goals
  • Support development of the external engagement plan for Legend; leading Legend commercial strategic engagement tactical initiatives
  • Support development of the annual strategic business plan for US
  • Provide practical business guidance on critical projects
  • Lead a number of critical business projects - landscape assessment, evolving trends, project mix implications, etc.
  • Help translate the voice of the customer into actionable strategies, ensuring that commercial efforts align with market demands as well as customer preferences and requirements
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver successful outcomes
  • Spearhead new initiatives on behalf of the team to support the general upskilling of the organization
  • Perform an active role in brainstorming sessions with the cross-functional LT
  • Drive decision making related to project investment and execution, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation within budget. Higher-level approvals are required for those related to significant budget allocations, strategic shifts, or major collaborations that have substantial financial or long-term implications.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of the US pharmaceutical & biotech market; experience in oncology.
  • Extensive knowledge of the US society, association and scientific organization landscape.
  • Minimum of 10-years of pharma marketing, sales or medical experience.
  • An ability to work effectively with and through others; cross functional leadership.
  • Comfort with MS Office.
  • Knowledge of core LEGEND systems and processes.
