Job description

After School Program Leader – Learning Center is responsible for creating, organizing, and leading engaging child care and youth development programs in a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment. 

Pay: $24.00+ per hour (based on experience and qualifications) and WEEKLY PAY!
Schedule: Approximately 17–20 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development, or possession of a Children's Center Permit
  • Coursework and/or experience related to child development and early learning
  • Ability to effectively communicate with children, families, staff, and the public
  • Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices
  • Ability to build positive, cooperative relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in a child care, preschool, after-school, or youth development program
  • Associate's Degree (AA) or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
  • Experience leading staff, coordinating programs, or supervising group activities
  • Knowledge of school district reporting requirements and procedures
  • Experience using audiovisual and educational technology to support learning
