Job description

Job Summary
The Sales Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for delivering an outstanding level of customer service and support throughout a retail branch location. This role is dedicated to engaging with customers for the majority of the workday to ensure quick, accurate assistance and a positive in-store experience. The Sales Associate will drive daily sales by providing product recommendations tailored to customer needs, supporting customers in locating merchandise, and promoting store programs such as memberships, warranties, and service offerings.

Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Engage in direct customer service and sales interactions for the majority of the workday, focusing on understanding customer needs and delivering accurate, timely support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming phone calls by providing prompt assistance, answering questions, and directing inquiries as needed
  • Assist customers in locating products on the sales floor while offering informed product recommendations that align with their specific needs
  • Promote and explain membership programs, warranties, and additional store services to enhance customer value and overall experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe equipment display section through routine upkeep
  • Communicate effectively with Sales Manager and Sales Team members to report stock needs, customer concerns, and operational issues that impact service
  • Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education

  • Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with CRM systems and project management tools
