Job Description:
The Credit Risk Management Consumer Credit Manager is responsible for developing strategic and tactical recommendations that enhance Regions' ability to increase profitability, while managing overall portfolio risk. The officer is required to work within Regions' risk framework to identify, measure, mitigate, monitor and report on consumer credit portfolios. The position requires the ability to analyze, communicate, and support the implementation of strategic solutions that focus on the best interest of Regions' customers, shareholders and communities.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Recommends cohesive strategies that balance consumer loan growth, while managing risk
  • Recommends and implements comprehensive consumer credit policies
  • Provides governance oversight over Regions compliance with consumer credit policies
  • Provides business insight and recommendations relating to credit model enhancements and their use in underwriting
  • Utilizes alternative date sources to segment loan applicant data to enhance the depth of Regions customer relationships and improve organic growth
  • Develops account management and collection prioritization strategies
  • Independently reports key risks and emerging risk
  • Interacts with senior management and will act as a liaison to business units on credit review management
  • Develops, attracts, and retains talent required to carry out roles and responsibilities
  • Mentors credit analysts

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years of experience in consumer credit risk management

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to evaluate, synthesize, organize, and interpret data and information
  • Ability to provide direction in underwriting requirements and origination automation strategies
  • Knowledge of quantitative analysis and static pool analysis
  • Strong technical skills, basic programming and statistical concepts
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Understanding of Consumer Credit products, industry changes, regulatory requirements and banking laws

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
