The primary duty of the Assistant Program Director is to lead and manage daily operations within the Utility Services department. This position ensures compliance with Program Policies, Procedures, and DHS regulations while supporting client's employment goals through skill assessment, job matching, and ongoing job development. In addition, this position works closely with other departments to assist clients wanting to transition into offsite work options.

Program Responsibilities:

1. Supervise daily operations within Utility Services.
   1. Including but not limited to: daily scheduling of staff and clients, training, completing Pavillio approvals, working with clients on their work goals, employee relations, problem solving, etc.
2. Design program activities for clients to enhance on-site and off-site work skills, social interaction, communication, wellness, and life enrichment.
3. Coordinate with client teams to develop and implement individualized plans that support clients' goals, preferences, and needs.
4. Ensure departmental compliance with Program Policies, Procedures, and DHS Regulations.
5. Assess client performance on contract work, evaluating completion, accuracy, and timeliness.
6. Collaborate with the Production Division to ensure contract tasks are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.
7. Record and approve client attendance in the Pavillio database.
8. Guarantee that client services meet all applicable licensing and regulatory standards.
9. Oversee the completion of incident and emergency reports, manage corrective actions, and conduct internal maltreatment reviews when necessary.

Management Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership, direction, and support to employees consistent with the company's management core competencies.
2. Train, evaluate, and discipline employees according to company policies and procedures.
3. Coordinate with other divisions of the company to ensure mutual goals and initiatives are accomplished.
4. Manage departmental budget and record expenditures to the accounting department.
5. Be available for staff communication, in person, via email, radio, and over the phone.

Qualifications:

1. Must meet the qualifications for a Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) or Designated Coordinator as outlined in federal and/or state regulations, which include:
   1. A bachelor's degree in a human services-related field, along with one year of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older;
   2. An associate degree in a human services-related field, plus two years of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older;
   3. A diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a human services-related field, and three years of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older;
   4. Four years of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older, supervised by a qualified professional meeting the above criteria.
2. Management experience is preferred.
3. Ability to use electronic devices, including databases and internet-based applications.
4. Demonstrate ability to productively collaborate with clients, co-workers, and others associated with the company.
5. Excellent writing skills.
6. Commitment to working with clients to reach their onsite or offsite work goals.
7. Have a valid class 'D' driver's license.
8. Personal vehicle insurance that meets the company's requirements.
9. Ability to drive all company vehicles and follow the safe transportation policy.

Essential Physical Functions:

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this position. The employee must be able to continually sit, stand, walk, and communicate throughout each day. Be able to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, run, reach, push, and pull, regularly move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. This may include moving clients who are unable to support their own weight or pushing and pulling wheelchairs used by clients weighing 100-200 pounds.
