POSITION: Part-Time Morning Program Assistant
Chester Academy is seeking part-time employees for two hours per day to supervise students and help with our morning care program. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, experience working with children, and have the ability to uphold schoolwide procedures under the guidance of administration.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervise and engage with students during the morning care program
  • Support positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, orderly environment
  • Uphold schoolwide policies and procedures under the guidance of school administration

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to carry out school rules and procedures.
  • Ability to establish a positive and supportive relationship with students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and staff.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with children
  • Strong communication skills

Salary:
$18.00 per hour / 2 hours per day (6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.) / 182 days following the 26/27 academic calendar
