On-Call Program Assistant

Open Circle of Princeton is hiring an On-Call Program Assistant to join our compassionate team at our adult day program. You will help enrich the lives of older adults through engaging activities, community connections, and person-centered care. Come and join our fun, close-knit team at our engaging adult day program, where you will make a difference and feel appreciated. As an On-Call Program Assistant, you will help create and implement various activity programs such as art projects, exercise groups, trivia games, small group discussions and all kinds of musical programs. You will also assist members with personal needs, pass medications, and help with the daily upkeep of the center. Our ideal candidate is passionate about working with mature adults, thrives in a positive work environment, and has good critical thinking skills.

Position Type: On-Call Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience Location: 112 7th Ave N, Princeton, MN 55371

Program Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily recreational and leisure activities.
  • Assist with personal cares, which may include toileting, feeding, nail care, tray set up and medication administration under the supervision of the RN.
  • Take vital signs
  • Daily charting
  • Assist in creating and implementing daily programs/activities.
  • Daily upkeep of Adult Day Center includes sweeping, vacuuming, and light outdoor work.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Program Assistant Qualifications:
  • Prior caregiving or experience working in an adult day center preferred.
  • Activity planning or related skills.
  • Must be CPR and First Aide Certified or willing to be trained.
  • A desire to work with elderly adults.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
