The Administrative Assistant Puppy Program provides clerical, administrative and organizational support to the puppy program with a high degree of accuracy, responsiveness and discretion.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Puppy Raiser Coordination: Assist puppy program manager with the maintenance of prospective and current puppy raiser lists and puppy availability. Review puppy raiser applications, schedule phone interviews and site visits. Assist with the processing of confirmation of acceptance or denial letters to prospective puppy raisers.ย 

  • Puppy Program Materials: Assist with the ordering, updating, assembly and administration of puppy raising manuals, related printed matter and collateral supplies.ย 

  • Puppy Raiser Orientation: Assist with arrangements for puppy placements with puppy raisers, conducting puppy raiser orientations, shipping arrangements, creating puppy raiser contracts, orientation folders, manuals, and other orientation related needs.ย 

  • Puppy Matriculation:ย Update, prepare and distribute turn-in packets and related correspondence to puppy raisers of matriculating dogs.ย  Monitor and coordinate the return of all materials from puppy raisers prior to matriculation.ย  Assist the puppy program manager at graduation, turn-in including puppy raiser reception, check-in, photos and tours.ย 

  • Release Dog Program:ย Assist with the preparation of release dog contracts, notification of puppy raiser of released dog, adoption back to puppy raiser or hand off to release dog coordinator to process through released dog waiting list.ย 

Qualificationsย ย 

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:ย 

Must Have:ย 

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively while maintaining organization and attention to small detailsย 

  • Professional work ethic and ability to communicate with a calm demeanor under emotional circumstancesย 

  • Ability to compose and transcribe letters using Word and mail mergeย 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft office (word, excel, etc,), Adobe and other business softwareย 

  • Knowledge of puppy behavior and basic trainingย 

Nice to Have:ย ย 

  • Minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ previous administrative office assistance experienceย ย 

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Compensationย 

  • Salary Range: $19.50-$21.00 per hour.ย 

  • Forย internal candidates, compensation will be set within the posted wage range for the role, in consideration of internal equity and the scope of the position.ย
