Job description

This position is located within the Office of the Associate Chief of Staff, Anesthesiology Service at the Atlanta VA Clinic (AVC), and provides administrative support essential to facilitating access, coordination, and delivery of direct patient care across all sections within the service line, including Perioperative Services, Pain Management Clinic, Chiropractic Care Clinic, Critical Care Medicine (ICU), and PMOP (Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and PDMP) Program.Qualifications:To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement 08/13/2026. You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to, experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform the duties of the position successfully and is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
