SUMMARY OF POSITION
Assist the Program Leaders in the coordination and leadership of summer playground program activities. Maintain a safe environment for all activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist program leader in the planning of weekly activities.
  • Provide leadership and aide in the implementation of playground activities.
  • Assist in the motivation of self and participants toward producing a quality active, enthusiastic and rewarding program.
  • To assist in supervision and implementation of scheduled special events.
  • Participate in and attend all staff meetings
  • Maintain a safe environment for all activities.
  • Make recommendations for needed supplies and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Must be able to provide own transportation
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Ability to lift/pull/push/move/carry up to 50lbs, and the ability to bend, stand & reach
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience, interest and desire to work with youth activities.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to effectively assist in the planning and leadership of activities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a seasonal position. Rate of pay dependent on qualifications.
Schedule: June 8, 2026 - August 21, 2026. Three (3) possible shifts. Monday - Friday: 1) 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., 2) 12:30 p.m - 5:30 p.m., 3) 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Shifts may vary.
You will need to work both day and evening hours on July 4th.
