Program Assistant

Hybrid on-site in Washington, DC (SE) 2-3 days a week.

US Citizen able to obtain a Public Trust

@Orchard LLC is seeking a Program Assistant to support a Dept. of Transportation project. This is a hybrid work role requiring you to work on-site 2-3 days per week (in SE Washington, DC). You must be able to obtain a Public Trust and pass a government background check; therefore, you must be a US citizen to be considered.

As the Program Assistant, you will be providing program assistance and analytical support for program execution, acquisition activities, and performance management. You will be focused on programmatic, analytical, and acquisition-related support functions and shall not perform executive-level administrative duties such as calendar management, correspondence control, or travel coordination.

Support shall include, but not be limited to:ย 

  • Assisting in the preparation, tracking, and reporting of program and acquisition activities, including procurement actions, obligations, and deliverables.
  • Supporting development and maintenance of program status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Assisting in tracking contract actions, modifications, and deliverables, including support for CPARS documentation and closeout activities.
  • Providing budgetary and financial tracking support, including monitoring expenditures and reconciling program data.
  • Conducting data analysis and preparing summaries, reports, and briefings to support program decision-making.
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives and documenting standard operating procedures.
  • Assisting in the coordination of program activities, meetings, and communications across stakeholders.ย 
  • Providing administrative and analytical support in acquisition planning and execution activities, as required.
  • Maintaining program documentation, records, and files in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Your background will include:

  • Experience supporting program management or acquisition activities.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports and briefings.
  • Familiarity with procurement tracking, financial reporting, or contract administration processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.ย 
  • Demonstrate active listening skills to gain understanding of key customer issues.ย 
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.ย 
  • Ability to view problems from multiple angles and apply a variety of solutions to solving them.

Compensation:ย The base salary is dependent on qualifications and experience and is expected to be in the range of $50-70K. Benefits are provided, including health, dental, vision, and 401K.
