Overview
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for the delivery and implementation of behavioral health or recovery programs within a facility.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provide patient care to include coordinating activities, providing companionship and assisting with basic daily needs (dressing, bathing, eating).
• Collaborate with treatment team members to assist with patient treatment and/or care goals.
• May serve as a co-lead for groups.
• Monitor the daily well-being of patients and identify need for social intervention.
• Ensure all documentation regarding the program, such as care, treatment or incidents, is completed in a clear, concise, professional and completed in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field preferred.
• One or more years previous experience in behavioral health with population of the facility preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
• Certification in specialty of program preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
