RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUMMER STUDENT WORKER
Requirements:
MUST be 16 years of age or older, High School student, or less than two years of college.
The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the summer school K-7 or Extended School Year student worker, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the building lead or program director for the duration of the program:
  • Assist the building leader with operational tasks such as delivering curriculum materials and organizing classroom materials
  • Assist with arrival and dismissal, as directed by the building leader and curriculum leader.
  • Support classroom activities, under specific direction and supervision of the teacher and assistant teacher.
  • Communicate respectfully and clearly to building leaders, staff, students, and all adults at designated summer sites.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.
  • Assist with basic clerical tasks, such as directing telephone calls and organizing copies to be delivered to classrooms.
  • Knowledge of technology to assist in the classroom.

Rate of pay: $16.94 per hour
