Job Description

This position will be responsible for supporting the needs of the Child Center and State Pre-K/Preschool Development grant programs as defined by the Child Center Director. This position will be responsible for coordinating student enrollment, maintaining accurate student files, planning and implementing monthly family engagement events, and administrative support to the Director.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or other related field (including management and/or leadership).

  • Three to five years experience in the Early Childhood Education setting.

  • Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Knowledge of computers including the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to respond, make decisions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, every changing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties to included but not limited to: enrolling students in classes; maintaining the filings system of student health records and employee files; front desk reception; track, invoice and collect tuition payments; posting and depositing program payments and tracking delinquent accounts; maintaining inventory and replenishing office and school supplies.

  • Assist with all required trainings, Open Houses, Family Engagement events, and all end-of-year programs and graduations.

  • Model attitudes, behaviors, and techniques which contribute to the overall harmonious operation of the program.

  • Promote positive public relations with all contacts within and outside of the Child and Family Center.

  • Participation in Child Center Advisory Board, faculty senate and other committees.

  • Provide teachers with support as needed.

  • Other duties appropriate to the position as assigned by the Director.

Compensation Grade

Administrative Faculty - A

This is a 12 month "A" contract, 12 month contracts are used for year round programs.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $38,000 to $50,000. Salary is based on relatable education and experience, internal equity and budgets.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

Great Basin College is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee's spouse or domestic partner.
