Academy of International Studies Elementary is currently interviewing for one part-time Aftercare Assistant positions starting immediately. Aftercare Assistants support the Aftercare Coordinator to supervise PK3-5th grade students in our aftercare program, assist students with themed projects and crafts, provide behavioral support when needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
The pay is $16.94/hour. The starting time is 2:45pm on M, T, W, Th and F, and mandatory 12:00pm on half days. Shifts ends at 5:45pm.
What we're looking for in our Aftercare Assistants:
  • Experience and confidence working with elementary-age children
  • Reliability, responsibility, professionalism
  • Ability to take direction easily and apply individual initiative when needed
  • Provide creative planning and implementing structured activities/clubs
  • Monitor children during outdoor activities
  • Training and experience using positive discipline, restorative practices, and other non-punitive forms of discipline
