Overview
We are currently seeking Welding Engineer majors for our Graduate Training Program. CB&I has utilized this program for more than 50 years to identify and develop the technical experts and business leaders that shape our company today.
The two-year rotational program is designed to provide employees experience in engineering, operations, estimating, project controls and other disciplines to help them develop broad knowledge, skills and abilities. Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership characteristics and perspectives that contribute to a diverse, growing organization.
Responsibilities
**This position will require travel and working for extended periods of time in the field and regularly within a construction or office setting. Field conditions will include, but are not limited to, working outdoors in extreme heat, cold, precipitation, dust, dirt, loud noise, and occasionally from height. Office conditions will include, but are not limited to, working in a standard office setting with office noise. The role will require the employee to walk, stand, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch, sit, reach, type, observe, listen, and speak.
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Welding Engineering discipline (Civil, Structural, and Mechanical) / Construction Management is required
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Ability to work in the United States and travel
  • Motivated and passionate self-starter
  • Adaptability and Agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environments
  • Advanced Self-Awareness and Interpersonal skills
  • A consistently developing Business and Technical Acumen coupled with a drive to achieve results
  • Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work history or internship experience in construction, engineering, designing, and/or constructing Plate Structures and/or Pressure Vessels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse groups
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Displays leadership potential
  • Willing to relocate to an available permanent position after successful completion of the rotational program.
