JOB LOCATION: Dahlgren, Virginia
JOB STATUS: Full Time
CLEARANCE: Secret
TRAVEL: Less than 5%
SALARY: $95,000 to $105,000
Astrion has a contingent opening for a Program Analyst supporting the U.S. Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, located in Dahlgren, VA. In this Program Analyst position, you will provide essential management, programmatic, and financial execution support for complex Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy weapon system programs. This role is responsible for translating technical raw data into highly organized, executive-level documentation while helping to drive the program's Risk Management Process. You will support the Program Manager, ensuring that tracking metrics, project scheduling, and allocation controls remain aligned with overarching requirements, objectives, and defense acquisition lifecycle milestones.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Two (2) years of work-related experience in management support
  • Demonstrated technical understanding and ability to prepare complex and detailed technical documents and reports; OR, three (3) years of specialized experience in:
  • financial planning
  • budgeting and execution of project funds for allocation purposes
  • integrated management schedule (IMS) development and maintenance
  • tracking for planning and budgeting
  • coordination of task planning
  • schedule development and task execution for DoD and Navy programs and projects
  • Ability to support the execution of the Risk Management Process (e.g., maintaining risk registers, risk management meeting agendas, drafting and editing risk management documents, mitigation plans, after action reports)
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of software applications and best business practices along with a high degree of skill in applying software functions necessary to prepare complex and detailed documents using the Microsoft (MS) Office suite of products and providing management support
  • Experience in processing complex and lengthy technical reports that include tables, graphs, charts, or multiple columns, participating in Technical Progress and Design Reviews and program technical meetings, and providing status and inputs to technical reports, white papers and meetings
  • This position requires Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II level with a T3 investigation
