Job Description:

OREGON YOUTH AUTHORITYProgram Analyst 1 - Vocation Education Services for Older Youth (VESOY) CoordinatorAlbany, OR - Oak Creek Youth Correctional Facility/Jackie Winters Transitional Program (JWTP)

Join our team at the Oak Creek Youth Correctional Facility as a VESOY Coordinator! This role helps prepare older youth in the Vocation Education Services for Older Youth (VESOY) program for successful futures by providing career exploration, workforce development, and hands-on learning opportunities. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, community partners, and employers, this position connects youth with meaningful work-based learning experiences that build the skills, confidence, and experience needed for long-term success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and administering the Career and Technical Education program for VESOY youth.

  • Building and maintaining VESOY work programs on the Oak Creek Campus.

  • Facilitating and teaching NIOSH training and Safety Vignettes in collaboration with Unit Leadership Teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills;
    OR

  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

Special Qualifications:

  • Driver License Required:Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).

Required Skills:

  • Experience teaching career and technical education curriculum and administering assessments.

  • Has knowledge and network of businesses that are willing to offer youth work experience.

  • Must be able to research and navigate the internet.
