$22.63 per hour | Discounted Staff Meals!

Era Living is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to become the newest member of our Culinary Services team located in our Ida Culver House Broadview in North Seattle, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Saturday and Sunday, 3:00PM to 7:30PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for the preparation, service, and cleanup of meals for assigned Assisted Living and Terrace areas. 

  • Prepares meals in accordance with ordered diets, preferences, and special needs with attention to food production requirements

  • Serves meals in accordance with the established menu and consideration for the individual resident food requirements using established standards for handling hot/cold menu items

  • Sets up and loads the food delivery carts for all meals

  • Clears tables and collects the service ware and transports to the dish machine

  • Operates and deep cleans equipment in the main kitchen and Assisted Living /Terrace kitchenettes and/or dining rooms

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand the Diet Roster for Assisted Living/Terrace residents in the Assisted Living and Terrace dining areas

  • Ability to perform dietary functions in a health care setting

  • Ability to perform duties in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control and sanitation procedures, and state & federal regulatory requirements

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English

  • Ability to pass DSHS background check, required

Education and Experience:

  • High School or GED, required

  • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire, required

  • Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire, required

  • Must meet L I minimum age requirement of 18 years old to operate kitchen equipment

  • Previous experience as a dietary aide in a healthcare setting, preferred
