Job description

Nature of Work Jetty Program Aide DL II/DL Student $22.00/hr. June 16, through September 5, 2025 The City of Everett is accepting applications for a Jetty Program Aide. This employment is temporary

Employees may be required to contribute to the Washington State Public Employees Retirement System. This contribution is refundable upon the employees request at the completion of employment. These positions are not provided with City of Everett benefits.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK This job will consist of supervising a beach facility. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assuring safety for all visitors traveling to and from the island. Providing Excellent Customer Service.

Boarding passengers for the Jetty Island ferry. Maintain passenger safety and ensure orderly conduct. Answer phones and e-mails.

Maintain radio contact with boat and island staff. Maintain keep accurate office work records. Work closely with all Jetty Program staff and Recreation Supervisor.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability and willingness to establish and maintain effective working relations with supervisors, coworkers and the public. Ability and willingness to support diversity and multi-cultural understanding in the workplace.

Ability and willingness to maintain a work environment free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Ability and willingness to be punctual and dependable. Ability and willingness to perform strenuous labor tasks under varying environmental conditions.

Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including, but not limited to, weekends and holidays. Ability and willingness to work safely and in compliance with city policies and standards. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum age 18 Ability to work in fast paced environment Experience in Customer Service or related field Experience working with public Personable and enjoy working with people SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Current CPR and First Aid Card Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a valid Washington State Driver's License Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a Washington State Boater Education Card Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
