The City of Everett is accepting applications for a Jetty Program Lead. This employment is temporary. Employeesmay be requiredto contribute to the Washington State Public Employees Retirement System. This contribution is refundable upon the employees request at the completion of employment. These positions are not provided with City of Everett benefits.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK
This job will consist of supervising a beach facility. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Supervise and schedule Jetty Staff.
  • Assign tasks and delegate as appropriate to the Jetty Program Aides.
  • Assuring safety for all visitors traveling to and from the island.
  • Awareness and ability to mitigate potential risks
  • Providing Excellent Customer Service.
  • Boarding passengers for the Jetty Island ferry.
  • Maintain passenger safety and ensure orderly conduct.
  • Answer phones and e-mails.
  • Maintain radio contact with boat and island staff.
  • Maintain keep accurate office work records.
  • Work closely with all Jetty Program staff and Recreation Supervisor.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability and willingness to establish and maintain effective working relations with supervisors, coworkers and the public.
  • Ability and willingness to support diversity and multi-cultural understanding in the workplace.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a work environment free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
  • Ability and willingness to be punctual and dependable.
  • Ability and willingness to perform strenuous labor tasks under varying environmental conditions.
