Do you enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities? Family Service Association (FSA) is seeking a compassionate, dependable Program Aide to join our Adult Day Health team in Mashpee, MA.
As a Program Aide, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment by assisting participants with daily activities, personal care, and recreational programming that promotes independence, wellness, and social connection.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. No Nights - No Weekends!
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Location: Mashpee, MA.
What You'll Do:
Working closely with the Program Coordinator and Activity Director, you will support the daily operation of the Adult Day Health program while helping participants achieve the highest possible quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of daily activities and therapeutic programming.
- Encourage participant engagement through social, educational, recreational, and group activities.
- Observe, document, and report participant status, care provided, and changes in condition.
- Maintain participant records, including program notes and daily activity logs.
- Assist the Program Coordinator in developing ideas that enhance program quality and participant engagement.
- Support the implementation of program policies and procedures.
- Assist with meal service, setup, cleanup, and food handling in accordance with USDA and sanitary guidelines.
- Prepare activity areas and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) based on individual participant needs.
- Assist with basic restorative nursing care, including obtaining and recording vital signs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing exceptional participant care.
- At least one year of experience working with older adults, adults with disabilities, or individuals with chronic health conditions strongly preferred.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or demonstrated competency in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Massachusetts CORI background check, Child Protective Services (CPS) check, and pre-employment physical (company paid).
