Description Work Hours Summer Camp Hours: Schedule Varies; Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. After School Hours: Monday-Friday 2 p.m

- 6 p.m. JOB SUMMARY The Aide supports the delivery of engaging educational and recreational programs for small groups of elementary-aged children, from Pre-K through 6th grade. This role involves actively leading and assisting with activities that promote academic enrichment, artistic expression, physical development, and social growth

Aides help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment while supporting participants' overall development and skill building. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no formal supervisory authority over City employees. The incumbent provides direct supervision, instruction, and leadership to program participants during activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in facilitating a variety of small and large group activities each week. Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and free of litter. Communicate with the Program Administrator about participant's experiences and report concerns including identifying and responding to camper behavioral issues.

Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports. Operates van to transport participants to and from various activities and events Work collaboratively with instructors. Perform front desk duties, including checking students in/out of the program, answering the phone, and greeting guests and visitors.

Communicates positively and professionally in all aspects of the position. Attends all department meetings, City meetings, and professional development activities. Becomes thoroughly familiar with all pertinent state and national policies and comply with said policies.

Complies with City wide and departmental policies, as well as state and federal laws. Ensures the positive promotion of the City. Is prompt and punctual in reporting for work, meetings, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Know and understand all emergency procedures associated with the program. Know, follow, and enforce all safety guidelines associated with the program.

This includes but is not limited to being responsible for campers' safety and their whereabouts at all times. Maintain control of assigned small groups and fully participate during program times while instructors are facilitating a specific program QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
