JOB TITLE: Residential Aide
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Per-diem
SCHEDULED HOURS: Per-diem
PROGRAM/LOCATION: Milestone Women's Program, Putnam, CT
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Milestone Women's Program
Milestone is a 30-day intensive level 3.7 residential treatment center designed to accommodate and treat women with a history of substance abuse, trauma, and mental health issues. Our program is recovery-oriented, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed. The overall goal of treatment is to help women find real hope for recovery. Milestone offers individual and group counseling, case management, and aftercare planning services. This program also provides treatment for co-occurring disorders, with substance abuse as their primary diagnosis. Treatment is individualized and targeted around the needs essential to moving forward toward employment, housing, and family stability. Milestone is part of CHR's Center of Excellence for Women/Women and Children at our Putnam campus. Length of day is less than 30 days and are then referred out to a step-down program to further address their co-occurring disorders.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintains physical environment and program standards set by funders, accreditors, and agency policies.
  • Monitor self-administration of client medications in accordance with the agency medication policies and procedure as program may require.
  • Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to effectively collaborate with co-workers and clients.
  • Teaches and assists all residents in areas of developmentally appropriate activities of daily living.
  • Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.
  • Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one to one intervention as directed by the treatment plan.
  • Collaborates and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
  • Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High diploma or GED required.
Experience: Two years' experience working with a relevant population preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver's license required with good driving record.
