Job description

Job Summary:
Must be willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continual basis to maintain assigned area of the facility in a safe, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. Able to perform tasks with due consideration for patients, staff, and visitors in the vicinity. Works under supervision performing simple standardized tasks. Cleans assigned areas to prevent the spread of disease. Works as a member of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Clean general areas around the building
  • Mop and sweep floors to ensure all spaces are safe to walk
  • Dust window sills and wipe down windows
  • Disinfect walls and other high-traffic areas as needed
  • Distributing linens and tracking the linens used in each department
  • Refilling toilet paper and other paper products as needed

Education and Training:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency (GED) required.

Experience:
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and write. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Minimal computer skills.
  • Proven work experience as an Environmental Services Worker or similar role, preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely, preferred
  • Working knowledge of various cleaning tools
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as an Environmental Services Worker, preferred
  • This position requires that you work as a team member
  • Previous housekeeping experience is preferred
