Job description

Schedule/Hours: M-F Part-time 25 hours/weekly
Pay Range: $14.00 - 15.00
This position is responsible for:
Planning, and providing activities and childcare services for school-age children participating in the after School and/or Summer Day Camp Programs; plans, develops, and facilitates recreational activities and play time; prepares and maintains program records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of TSA's property.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates activities for school age children; ensures that activities are age appropriate, stimulating, fun and safe for the children.

  • Builds and maintains effective and positive relationships with parents, community leaders and host organizations and agencies; ensures all obligations are fulfilled in meeting the requirements of any written or verbal agreements.

  • Reports all accidents to the supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.

  • Cleans up the game room, kitchen, and library daily; picks-up games and materials.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.

  • Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.

  • Ability to observe children and ensure their safety.

  • Ability to drive a passenger vehicle ensuring the safety of passengers and protection of the vehicle.

  • Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Valid State Commercial Driver's License
C.P.R. and First Aid Certification
DOT Medical Certificate
