Job description

Work with the Program Director and scheduling team to develop academic course offerings. Assist the Program Director in hiring and supporting adjunct faculty. Collaborate with the Program Director and Faculty to facilitate alumni relations, student activities, community outreach, partnerships, and initiatives. Assess recruitment strategies and manage the application review and admissions process. Participate in events and communications that support the admissions process and retention of matriculated students. Work closely with Department Administration on special projects. Collaborate with and offer cross-program support for projects and initiatives involving partner programs.


Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant administrative experience.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years experience in higher education and an arts discipline relevant to the program.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to provide advice, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills. Proficiency with productivity and database software. Ability to arrive at creative solutions, within the framework of university policies and protocols, in order to accommodate the unique and non-traditional needs of a large, complex academic unit focused on art professions.


In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
