Administrative Assistant (Radiology Scheduler)

Contract Assignment | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Day Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Assistant/Radiology Scheduler to join our healthcare team. This position plays a vital role in creating a supportive and welcoming environment for patients and their families while ensuring efficient scheduling and administrative operations within the Radiology department.

The ideal candidate will have experience in medical scheduling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Radiology department.
  • Greet patients, families, visitors, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Answer and manage multi-line telephone systems.
  • Schedule radiology exams accurately using the Radiology Information System (RIS) according to modality-specific protocols.
  • Provide patients with appropriate preparation instructions prior to scheduled procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient scheduling and documentation records.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while treating patients, staff, physicians, and the public with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
  • Support department operations while adhering to organizational Mission and Vision values.
Minimum QualificationsRequired
  • Experience working as a scheduler in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Highly Preferred
  • Previous experience as a Radiology Scheduler.
  • Familiarity with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and radiology scheduling workflows.
