Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, utilizing recognized assessment tools and personal observations.
  • Formulate tailored treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and sustained communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Engage in focused, individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work in partnership with physical therapists, occupational therapists, doctors, nurses, caregivers, and families to devise effective care plans.
  • Deliver educational resources to patients and families supporting progress beyond clinical settings.
  • Be involved in intermittent inpatient evaluations and speech therapy, guaranteeing a seamless transition in care throughout the patient journey.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation that meets state, federal, and institutional requirements.
  • Advance your knowledge and skills through continuous education and collaborative dialogue with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the first month of employment.
