Student Nurse Tech Per Diem

Position Responsibilities

Join Mount Sinai Medical Center as a Student Nurse Tech! This is an excellent chance for students to gain practical experience in a hospital environment while keeping nursing school as your top priority!

Provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with bathing, feeding, taking vital signs, and monitoring patients' physical and behavioral condition.

Ensures patient personal and oral hygiene needs are met daily and/or as necessary. Provides catheters care daily and/or as needed. Reports any pertinent observations to RN.

Completes assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor/Registered Nurse, including assisting patient with activities of daily living.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school and have completed the fundamentals of nursing courses.

BLS certification required.

Schedule

Minimum of 1, 12 hour shifts per month (Day Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm/ Night Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am)
