To thrive as a Windows System Administrator, you need strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and systems troubleshooting, usually supported by a degree in IT or related certifications like Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals. Familiarity with Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and tools such as Microsoft System Center is typically required.
