Essential Job Duties
The Department of Economics in the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek a scholar specializing in macroeconomics who is committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service.
Position Responsibilities
  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, in both in-person and online formats as needed. Teaching responsibilities will primarily support courses in macroeconomics and related areas.
  • Research: Develop and maintain a productive, independent research program in macroeconomics or closely related fields that results in publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and contributes to the department's research mission.
  • Service: Contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Economics, Poole College of Management, and NC State University through committee service, curriculum development, professional engagement, and other departmental activities.

Appointment Details
  • This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level.
  • The anticipated start date is August 16, 2027.
