Job description

Experienced Welder Fabricator – 1st Shift

Kyron Tool & Machine Co., Inc. – Columbus, Ohio

Kyron Tool & Machine is looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team. This position is ideal for a skilled welder who is comfortable working from blueprints and performing both MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials.

We are a family-owned precision machining and fabrication company with a 30,000+ sq. ft. facility in Columbus. Our welders work on a variety of fabricated components and projects.

What You'll Do
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Fabricate components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Read and interpret prints and determine welding and fabrication requirements
  • Measure and verify material dimensions and finished-part specifications
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy
  • Fit, assemble, and fabricate welded components
  • Perform repair welding on equipment and components as needed
  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of professional welding/fabrication experience
  • Strong MIG welding skills
  • TIG welding experience
  • Ability to weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Strong blueprint-reading and fabrication skills
  • Ability to accurately measure, fit, and fabricate components
  • Experience with common welding and fabrication equipment
  • Robotic welding or welding automation experience is a plus
  • Experience programming or operating industrial robots is preferred but not required
  • Interest in learning and helping implement new welding automation technology
  • Provide technical input on potential welding jobs
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
  • Strong attention to weld quality and workmanship
