Job description

Wells Brothers Inc. is currently hiring experienced Welding and Fabrication Field Technicians to join our growing team. To be successful in this role, you need to be self-motivated, team orientated, punctual, have a high level of integrity, and have the ability and willingness to teach and learn. 

Essential Duties

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain a low Safety Incident Occurrence History 
  • Load and unload truck
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans. 
  • Use the blueprints along with other data, such as work plans, to develop and design their welding/assembly projects.
  • Lay out, cut, fit, measure and weld metals to create the desired shape or object. This is highly detailed work and requires the Welder Fabricator to be knowledgeable of many techniques and tools.
  • Must constantly inspect and test welds and equipment. Welds are checked for durability as well as meeting specified standards and equipment must be examined to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed.
  • Travel to job sites in company vehicles. Most job sites are within 90 miles of Anna, OH. 

Experience and Requirements

  • 3 years of experience
  • Possess a thorough understanding of industrial trades
  • Enjoys working with their hands and has an analytical mind
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of specific welding processes, such as TIG, MIG and ARC
  • Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs on occasion, stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach and sit for long periods of time
  • Must not be afraid of heights or confined spaces
  • Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and easily and positively adjust to changing priorities and department processes. 
  • Ability to simultaneously handle the demands of internal and external customers
  • Knowledge/Experience of other skilled trades (Plumbing, Electrical, Welding) Preferred
