Job description

Xtreme Services is seeking a Welding / Fabrication Foreman to join our growing industrial and commercial construction team. This is a working leadership role for someone who can plan ahead, direct a crew, communicate clearly, and deliver safe, high-quality work.

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Goodrich, Michigan, with travel to customer and project sites as assigned.

Schedule: Varies by project; overtime, weekends, shutdown work, and out-of-town travel may be required.

Compensation: $20+/Hour Based on experience, credentials, and demonstrated capability.

Benefits: Blue Cross Blue Shield medical, dental, vision coverage with select plans being covered 100% by Xtreme; Paid time off and holiday pay; and other benefits to be reviewed during interview process

What You'll Do

·    Plan shop and field fabrication activities from drawings, priorities, manpower, machines, consumables, and material availability.

·    Assign fitters and welders based on qualifications; communicate sequence, tolerances, weld requirements, and production targets.

·    Lead pre-task planning, hot-work controls, fire-watch coordination, ventilation, cylinder handling, and safe material movement.

·    Verify drawings, revisions, material grades, cut lists, WPS requirements, welder qualifications, hold points, and inspection needs.

·    Monitor fit-up, welding sequence, distortion control, visual acceptance, dimensional accuracy, and repair work.

·    Coordinate with project management, quality personnel, customers, painters, installers, and other trades.

What We're Looking For

·    Two or more years of industrial welding/fabrication experience with demonstrated crew-lead or foreman responsibility preferred.

·    Ability to pass Xtreme Services' hands-on weld/fabrication interview evaluation and project-specific qualification tests.

·    Must have valid driver's license.

·    Strong command of fabrication drawings, weld symbols, fit-up, welding processes, distortion control, and visual inspection.

·    Ability to plan production, assign qualified personnel, manage documentation, and maintain schedule and quality.

·    AWS Certified Welding Supervisor, Certified Welding Inspector, OSHA 30, or equivalent training preferred.

·    Dependable attendance, professional communication, and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

·    Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and protecting customer and company property.
