Candidates with extensive MIG/GMAW experience may also be considered, particularly if they have worked with larger-diameter wire, heavy material, structural steel, or pipe. SMAW / Stick welding experience is a plus.

Real-world welding ability, consistency, and quality of workmanship will be the deciding factors, and candidates should be prepared to complete a hands-on weld test.

• Use grinders, torches, hand tools, and other related welding equipment

• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures

• Work collaboratively with production and other skilled trades personnel to meet daily goals

• Ability to pass a hands-on weld test

• Ability to weld in multiple positions

• Strong understanding of weld penetration, consistency, and structural integrity

• Experience reading blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings

• AWS welding certification preferred

• SMAW / Stick welding experience is a plus

• Dependable work history and a safety-focused approach

Compensation

• $25 – $34 per hour, based on experience and weld test performance

• Candidates with direct MCAW experience, 1/16” metal-core wire experience, structural steel or pipe backgrounds, AWS certifications, or additional SMAW capabilities may be considered toward the upper end of the range
