Job description

MIG/TIG/Stick Welder – Aluminum Experience Required

We are currently seeking an experienced MIG/TIG/Stick Welder with strong aluminum welding experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple welding processes and capable of producing clean, high-quality welds in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick (SMAW) welding

  • Perform aluminum welding, including proper preparation and welding techniques

  • Weld various metals and components according to specifications, blueprints, and work orders

  • Set up and adjust welding machines based on material, thickness, and welding process

  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and measurements

  • Fit, align, tack, and position parts prior to welding

  • Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, penetration, and appearance

  • Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as needed

  • Operate grinders, cutting tools, measuring devices, and other fabrication equipment

  • Identify and correct welding defects

  • Maintain welding equipment and a clean, organized work area

  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

  • Meet production schedules and quality standards

Requirements

  • Previous MIG, TIG, and Stick welding experience required

  • Aluminum welding experience is required

  • Must have your own welding helmet

  • Must have steel-toe shoes/boots

  • Ability to produce clean, consistent welds on aluminum

  • Knowledge of proper aluminum preparation and welding techniques

  • Experience welding different gauges and thicknesses of material

  • Ability to read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings

  • Strong attention to detail and weld quality

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Dependable with reliable attendance

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional welding/fabrication experience

  • Experience with MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW)

  • Strong aluminum fabrication and welding experience

  • Previous manufacturing, structural, or fabrication shop experience

  • Welding certifications are a plus but not required

Welding Test

Candidates may be required to complete a hands-on welding test, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or aluminum welding, prior to placement.
