Job Summary:
The Technical Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day technical, video, and data-related operations for a Pro Volleyball team. This role plays a vital part in practice and match-day technology, performance analysis, and scout preparation. The coordinator works closely with the Head Coach, Pro Volleyball Operations leadership, and the team's Director of Volleyball Operations (DOVO) to ensure all technical and operational aspects of training and competition are executed smoothly and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Competition Day Operations
  • Lead the setup and operation of all match-day technology, including systems for replay and video capture
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for live data collection and statistical analysis during matches
  • Coordinate with event staff to ensure all technical and operational needs are met efficiently

2. Scouting & Film Coordination
  • Manage all aspects of scout video analysis, formatting, and timely distribution based on athlete and staff needs
  • Collaborate with the Director of Volleyball Operations (DOVO) to schedule scout sessions and ensure conference room and tech availability
  • Maintain and organize an accessible library of opponent scouting film and internal performance footage

3. Performance Analysis & Training Support
  • Capture and upload daily practice film, track statistics, and manage video syncing
  • Conduct detailed video and statistical analysis to deliver actionable performance insights to the coaching staff
  • Handle all technological setup and takedown surrounding each practice session, adjusting to additional athlete or coach requests as needed

4. Operational Support
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of training sessions, ensuring all equipment and tech needs align with the practice plan
  • Interpret daily training schedules and align operational resources to support drill execution and coach direction
  • Provide operational assistance where needed with team travel and logistics for practices, home matches and away matches
  • Help team DOVO manage equipment and apparel inventory as needed

5. Technology Management & Support
  • Serve as a key technical resource for coaching staff and players during practices, games, and scouting sessions
  • Ensure effective use and management of operational platforms such as VolleyStation, Google Workspace, and Teamworks
  • Actively support improvements in how technology and data are used to drive team efficiency and player development

6. Compliance & Operational Excellence
  • Ensure that all technical and operational activities comply with organizational standards and safety protocols
  • Contribute to aligning team operations with the broader strategic goals of the Pro Volleyball department

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Technical Proficiency with performance analysis tools (e.g., DataVolley, VolleyStation)
  • Strong Organization & Time Management in fast-paced, live environments
  • Clear Communication with staff, athletes, and event personnel
  • Attention to Detail in video analysis, match prep, and equipment setup
  • Adaptability to meet shifting priorities and real-time needs
  • Team-Oriented Mindset with a focus on service and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in sport science, kinesiology, data analytics, or a related field
  • Experience in volleyball operations or a high-performance team environment
  • Expertise with video replay systems, capture tools, and statistical platforms
