Snelling is recruiting for a Videographer & Creative Storyteller who is responsible for capturing, editing, and producing photos and videos for material that will be shown during services, various ministry events, websites and externally on various platforms. The responsibilities of the Videographer & Creative Storyteller include editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting.

Key Responsibilities of Videographer & Creative Storyteller:
  • Collaborate with the communications and creative teams to conceptualize and storyboard innovative video projects.
  • Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with various team members and the ability to bring it to life
  • Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video by developing relevant content and video to reach target audiences for events and campaigns.
  • Edit and produce video content, including promotional materials, advertisements, event coverage, and documentaries.
  • Design, create and manage photos and videos for various projects, media outlets, promotions, and campaigns
  • Manage aspects of pre-production, including scripting, location scouting, and scheduling.
  • Capture high-quality video footage using professional-grade cameras and equipment
  • Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos
  • Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects by utilizing Final Cut, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Operate lighting and sound equipment to ensure professional-grade production quality.
Qualifications Needed for Videographer & Creative Storyteller:
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, Cinematography, Broadcasting, or a related area of study
  • 5-7 years of proven experience as a professional videographer with a strong portfolio showcasing creative storytelling and technical expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Strong understanding of visual composition, pacing, and storytelling principles.
  • Exceptional creativity and a vision for developing captivating content.
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or 3D rendering is a plus
