Matter Mobility Services Analyst
Location: Atlanta (Full-time, Hybrid)
Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Matter Mobility Services Analyst. In this essential role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our services, providing crucial support to our department in delivering exceptional client service and maintaining our commitment to excellence.
Position Summary
The Matter Mobility Services Analyst supports the secure, efficient, and compliant transfer of client and firm data across systems, platforms, and organizations. Reporting to the Matter Mobility Services Manager, this role is responsible for executing data imports and exports, supporting large-scale matter migrations, and ensuring adherence to established information governance standards and workflows. The Analyst will work with both internal stakeholders and external clients, leveraging third-party technology solutions to facilitate matter mobility services.
Key Responsibilities
Data Mobility Operations:
  • Execute data imports and exports using approved third-party platforms and firm-approved tools.
  • Support end-to-end matter mobility processes, including data collection, validation, transformation, and delivery.
  • Assist in planning and executing large-scale matter and client data migrations under the direction of the Matter Mobility Services Manager.
  • Monitor data transfer processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

Client and Stakeholder Support:
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external clients regarding matter mobility requests.
  • Provide clear communication on timelines, requirements, and status updates for data transfer projects.
  • Support client onboarding and offboarding activities involving data movement.

Vendor and Third-Party Coordination:
  • Collaborate with third-party providers supporting data migration and mobility services.
  • Assist in managing vendor deliverables, timelines, and quality of service.
  • Escalate issues or risks to the Matter Mobility Services Manager as needed.

Compliance and Governance:
  • Ensure all data mobility activities comply with firm policies, client requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of client and firm data throughout all processes.
  • Follow established workflows, controls, and approval processes for all data transfers.

Documentation and Process Improvement:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all data mobility activities, including logs, procedures, and project records.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency in matter mobility operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Governance, Information Technology, Legal Operations, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in data management, legal technology, or information governance within a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
  • Experience with data migration, data transfer tools, or third-party data mobility platforms.
  • Familiarity with legal systems such as document management systems (DMS), eDiscovery platforms, or practice management systems.
  • Strong understanding of data formats, data mapping, and basic data validation techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
