About the Role:
Kwik Kar on University is looking for an experienced auto mechanic who's comfortable working alone and without supervision. Must be capable of troubleshooting, fixing issues and getting jobs right the 1st time. The successful applicant will be well-versed in complex mechanical or electronic vehicle systems and have excellent problem-solving abilities. If you're not a self-starter, this is not the job for you.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle issues accurately and efficiently
  • Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and communicate findings to service advisors
  • Perform brake, suspension, and steering system repairs
  • Complete engine and drivetrain diagnostics using modern scan tools and equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work bay and shop environment
  • Stay current with automotive repair techniques and manufacturer service standards
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hands-on automotive repair and maintenance experience
  • Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and computer-related vehicle issues
  • ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
  • EPA 609 Certification required
  • TX State Inspector License preferred but not required
  • Must have own set of professional mechanic's tools
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced shop environment
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
About Us:Kwik Kar on University is a consistent top-rated service provider.  Employees are treated well at this busy shop that sees all makes and models.  Many vehicles are 10+ years old and are in need of numerous repairs.  The mechanic at this location works independently of all but the managers.
